Upscaleing Page

Occasionally customers come to us and ask if we can upscale graphics from a small decal sheet for a project that requires larger graphics. The answer is yes and the process is fairly simple:

1)  Either scan the decal sheet at a reasonably high resolution and attach to an email - or - send us the decal sheet (our preference).  It will be returned unharmed. Do not send email attachments over 5 Megabytes. For large files, copy the file to a CD and send that to us.

2)  Clearly indicate which graphics you are interested in. Frequently the graphics on these small sheets include two or more graphic themes for the same aircraft. If you are asking for decals on the sheet that cannot be read with the naked eye or under magnification, you will need to provide us what the decal is or says. Unfortunately we do not have the time to research it for you.

4)  Either provide us a scale factor (such as 3.4:1, which tells us to scale up the graphics by a factor of 3.4), or, if you are unsure of the exact scale factor to fit your airframe, provide us the finished size of one decal on the small sheet such as the diameter of a Stars & Bars insignia, and we will proportionally upscale all the graphics you are interested in to meet the size of your chosen graphic.

As for pricing, please be aware that we do not simply scan the images and "blow them up" to create the decal print files.  This would result in poor quality and would not be acceptable to us or you.  Each image is hand drawn in our native illustration software using the decal sheet as a guide. That allows us to scale the image to any size without distortion or degradation. As is the case with the majority of custom graphic orders, most of what you are paying for is computer design time to create the decal print files.
